A Biblicaly-Managed Life: The Seven Day Challenge – Day 2

A Biblicaly-Managed Life: The Seven Day Challenge

Day 2
Because a biblicaly-managed life depends on maintaining an eternal perspective while living in a temporal world, we must consistently examine our lives. I will be posting in the coming days seven areas for self-evaluation. I am asking you to consider one area each day for the next seven days. Read the questions and the Scripture in the morning and then reflect throughout the day. Keep a journal to record your thoughts and the things that God tells you. Today is the second day.

DAY 2: God’s Gift of Time

How are you managing your time? Are you investing it or wasting it?
C. S. Lewis said, “There is no neutral ground in the universe: Every square inch, every split second, is claimed by God and counterclaimed by Satan.” Use today to determine if you are using God’s gift of time wisely. Read the passages and the Sanders quote below. Ask God to help you make the most of your time.
Show me, LORD, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting my life is.
-Psalm 39:4
Therefore be careful how you walk, not as unwise men, but as wise, making the most of your time, because the days are evil.
-Ephesians 5:15-16 NASB
The manner in which [a person] employs the surplus hours after provision has been made for work, meals, and sleep will make him either a mediocrity or a man to be reckoned with.
-J. Oswald Sanders, Spiritual Leadership, 113
Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.
