God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

For those who just don’t feel like getting out of bed today . . . God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

For those who have been blown over by a hard-hitting storm and are having a difficult time getting up . . . God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

For those who have lost a loved one . . . God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

For those who just received some not so good test results from the doctor . . . God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

For those going through what seems to be a hopeless separation or the finality of a divorce . . . God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

For those wondering if life is worth living . . . God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

For those wondering, “Am I really doing what God put me on earth to do?” . . . God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

For those not struggling with any of the above today, but will tomorrow . . . God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.

God is our refuge and strength . . . He can be celebrated!

Heavenly Father, someone has said that in this life we are entering a storm, in a storm or just coming out of a storm. Whatever we are currently experiencing, thank you for being our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Justus M. Mutuku What is your background? Where did you grow up? I am a Kenyan born in the Eastern province, Makueni County of Kenya. I grew up and lived in rural Kenya until after high school when I joined a Bible college in Kijabe, Kenya, and later came to serve in Nairobi with Africa Inland Church – Milimani.   Tell us a little bit about your family life now. The Three parts of Faith There are three parts to faith that I like to explain using the acronym “KAT.” “K” stands for “Knowledge.”   We must know what the Bible says. We must understand that God sent his Son to die on the cross for our sin. And we must understand that only through trusting Jesus can we have a relationship with the living God. “A” stands for “Agreement.”   Not only must we know what the Bible says but we must agree with it. We must agree that eternal life will be ours if we place our trust in Jesus. There are many people who understand that they are separated from God by their sin and that God sent his Son to die on their behalf. They also agree that if they would trust in Jesus they would have an eternal relationship with God. That’s great as far as it goes, but it is not saving faith. There is one thing left to do.
