God Is With You
Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go. The weight was heavy! Since his youth, Joshua had followed the great Moses. Scripture says that no one ever demonstrated the "mighty power or performed the awesome deeds" that Moses did. However, Moses was dead. Now the assignment of leading Israel into the Promised Land was on Joshua's shoulders. Maybe you are carrying your own burden today. God has given you a difficult assignment. Illness, grief, loss, fear and/or anxiety weigh down your heart. It is a load that never leaves. The mission is yours to carry out and you feel alone, even when surrounded by people.
