Is Jesus Fully God and Fully Man?

Is Jesus Fully God and Fully Man? | Hebrews 4:15-16

Hebrews 4:15-16
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are--yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God's throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Suppose I harnessed myself to a powerful diesel tractor with the goal of standing firm while the tractor tried to pull me over. I would feel a part of the tractor’s power for a nanosecond before I went down. Now suppose one could actually pull against the tractor. Suppose one could actually pull the tractor his way. That person would be the only one who actually felt the full power of the tractor. That’s what Jesus did and felt against the full-throttled power of sin.

When I am tempted, I either am delivered by God’s power or I give in. I have never experienced the full power of temptation, but Jesus was tempted in every way, all the way - yet did not sin. He understands sin’s power, so when I am tempted Jesus invites me to approach the throne of grace with confidence. I know the one who prevailed against sin is there and he promises me mercy and grace to help in my time of need.

Don’t let temptation pull you down. Jesus knows the drill. He is ready and willing to come to your aid. He is ready to give you all the mercy and grace you need to resist and obey. He invites us to approach him with confidence. What are you waiting for?

Lord Jesus, thank you for taking on temptation to its fullest power. Thank you for inviting me to your throne of mercy and grace. Thank you for the promise of giving me all I need to do what you call me to do. Amen.
God Bless!
